Location
This was taken in the high country just outside of the back side of Zion National Park area.Time
It was mid morning. It was just started to warm up a little bit for the day.Lighting
The day was full of fast moving clouds so the light was always changing. Just waiting and watching for the right moment was all it took.Equipment
I had my tripod, Sony A77, and Tamron 17mm-50mm.Inspiration
I had stayed the night up in the area to do some evening and morning fishing. I visit this area a lot in the summer months to escape the hot days of the desert. I had been staring at that group of trees for most of the evening and next morning and wanted to capture it, so I waited til the light was right and the wind slowed down to get the shot I wanted.Editing
I used a little post-processing in Photoshop and Lightroom. In my camera bag
Sony A77, Tamron 17mm-50mm, Tripod, Flash with diffuser, Minolta 70mm-210mm, and Minolta 100mm-300mmFeedback
Timing and patience. Don't rush to get a shoot, wait for the one you want. (and don't leave home without your Camera)
