I love this! Not much people will post photos like this. You totally capture how these people feel.

Out of all the entry's and eventual winners this one has touched me the most. So sad, and to think this is in Sydney. Sad that our country has come to this.

Every photo I have ever taken is irrelevant when you see stuff like this.

Love this image, it really has feeling and depth to tell a story of homelessness. Great capture!

You captured this heart breaking story, so well! It may not be pleasant to see, but it is really, and we need to be made aware of it. Great job!

This is a very sad commentary on the world's homeless. I hope that some day we will be able to solve this terrible tragedy.

Location
Just outside Central Station in Sydney, NSW.Time
It was around 4PM when the rain started to settle a little.Lighting
It was a good time of day but, there quite a few shadows from the tree above so I had to find the right angle first.Equipment
I used a Canon 6D with a 24-70mm F.4 lens.Inspiration
It was very moving for me. Seeing this man play his guitar under the rain with his companions by his side, one huddled next to him for warmth. His note read that it was just for the dogs and himself. It's incredible what a person will do to take care of the ones they love. It was heartbreaking, yet beautiful.Editing
Yes, I simply saturated the color and played with the level until I got the B&W effect I was happy with.In my camera bag
Canon 6D, 24-70mm F4.0, 50mm F1.8 (Both with hoods), speed light, 2 x wireless transceivers, a sling strap, cleaning kit and a couple of SD cards.Feedback
I always look for what seems to be interesting, especially when it's raining, you can find so many things that you may see everyday but take for granted. Pause and be mindful of your surroundings, take your time looking through your viewfinder seeing the subject at different angles. Look at what kind of lighting there is and just get creative with it!
