Never seen it from this angle, not easy to make a often photographed object look unique, well done :)

Really like the way you put the main subject In the background and put the contrast and focus on the cliff. Very effective. Voted (rule of thirds)

Whether right or wrong for the Lightfall project it's a great shot... absolutely superb composition, execellent contrast, very dramatic... and really one of the better shots I've seen in quite a while here :) Well done

Location
This photo was taken just after sunset, from the deck of the hotel where we were staying in Rio.....maximum zoom with my little Panasonic "point and shoot"....yes, I am a self taught photographer who started out in primary school with a Box BrownieTime
After looking out to sea to see the setting sun, from the deck of our hotel in Rio, I turned around to be met with this magnificent sight......Christ the Redeemer on top of the mountain with helicopter sightseers flying around.....thanks to a beautiful ViewBug member who loved this image as much as I do and bought it......really boosted my confidence as a novice photographerLighting
The lighting at that time of day was just as nature provides and the little "point and shoot" did the restEquipment
I have now upgraded my camera, but still use a Panasonic "point and shoot" as it fits easily into my handbag, so goes everywhere I go.....I've tried using a tripod, but they're too big to carry around, so a good strong wall or rock does an adequate job for me.....I do enjoy using the flash at the sunrise/set hour so I can focus on something very close and still get the feeling of natures sunrise/set coloursInspiration
My love of sharing what I see with others is my reward for the beauty that nature providesEditing
I took this quite some time ago, so I guess the most post-processing would have been to crop itIn my camera bag
I don't carry a camera bag....just a hand bag with this trusty little "point and shoot" with a Leica lens and excellent zoom for it's size....nature does the rest!!!Feedback
Keep your eyes open and be aware of your surroundings.....just amazing what you will see and others miss.....I'm very much a novice photographer but enjoy the digital age.....certainly easier to click merrily away and not have to wait a week to get the pics back from the developer!!!!!
