Wonderful shot! Such a treat to get that close to a turtle. The fish feeding around him really make the composition!

Most excellent underwater! Not an easy shot, turtles usually don't cooperate! Congratulations, well deserved.

Location
Port Ghalib , EgyptTime
this was taken on a mid afternoon dive about 2 o'clockLighting
Natural lighting from the surface was the main light source with the two flash lights out wide to add some fill flash. The flash guns were set at 1/3 power.Equipment
Canon 50D camera , Canon Efs 10-22mm lens Ikelite underwater housing and 12 inch dome port 2 Sea & Sea YS110 Alpha strobe lights set out wide from the cameraInspiration
I love taking underwater photographs and seeing all the different marine creatures. This shot was different from all the others because this Green Sea turtle had some pilot fish feeding with it and they didn't mind me getting very close to them.Editing
I adjusted the white balance and levels to compensate for the lack of colours in the water at 12 metres, also used the spot healing brush to remove some the back scatter from the fill flashIn my camera bag
I only use two lenses for my underwater photography my Canon Efs 10-22mm and a Canon Efs 60mm macro lens. I also use two Sea & Sea YS110 underwater flash strobes.Feedback
Photographing marine life you need to approach your subject slowly so you don't spook them, be patient and watch how they react to your presence. If need by back away then try again. You need to get as close as possible to your subject as possible so you get good detail
