Location
This photo was taken in Norwich - UK, inside the Plantation Gardens.Time
It was taken during midday.Lighting
There was plenty of bright sunlight, and there was no need for me to use any external light sources.Equipment
I have used my Canon 550D and my 50 mm f1.8 lens.Inspiration
What inspired me? Well... I guess that this flower was the most beautiful I have ever seen in my life. There was no way I wouldn't have taken a photo of it.Editing
The only post processing I have done was through Photoshop and I have increased just the contrast a little bit. Simplicity at it's best !In my camera bag
I usually carry in my bag my Canon DSLR with my 10-22 mm lens for landscapes. But I usually take my 50 mm lens as well because you never know... ( i.e this photo! )Feedback
I think I couldn't have taken this photo without my trusty 50 mm lens. A few easy steps to remember on how to capture something similar. 1) Find your subject - Find your flower. 2) Make sure that the background looks very natural as the environment of the subject. 3) Find the best angle that flatters your subject the most according to your light source. If you have external light source such as flash, or macro ring flash, you can experiment a bit more from any angle you like. 4) Take the photo.
