Early this year I took a trip up to Oregon to visit my longtime friend and his family. Of course being in Oregon and close to Cannon Beach I had to go visit Haystack Rock AKA the Goonies Rock. Yes I am a child of the 80′s and to visit one of the iconic scenes from that movie was just too good to pass up. So I begged and pleaded with my friend to drive us over. We hopped in his small toyota truck (which I learned on the way back through the mountains that it was too light when we skidded on some black ice) and headed to the coast. I could of spent the entire day shooting those rocks, but I’m sure I would have bore my friend to death.
One of the other places he recommend we hit was Multnomah Falls and it did not disappoint. Although my camera was soaked from the mist coming down from the falls it was worth getting these long exposure shots.
This trip was about connecting with a close friend who moved away and I was just happy enough to get the shots that I did. If you are ever in the NorthWest I recommend you bring your camera with you and enjoy the beauty.
