A rare occasion where the Split Rock Lighthouse is lit up, and even more so in the deep winter months. The lighthouse is just south of Silver Bay on Minnesota's North Shore. Completed in 1910, it helped guide incoming ships into the Duluth harbor. The lighthouse has been decommissioned since 1969.
