Since the drought we have seen things we have never seen before. I actually broke down and bought a new 150 to 500 mm . I had a old preset 500mm f-8 mirror for years. It was compact but f-8 was tough as I hand hold most all my shots. the new lens isn't a Nikon but it is f-6.3 so I get a bit more light into the lens. When I hit the lotto I will buy a real Nikon and stop shooting handheld and use my tripod. I was able to shot this out the car window with a 300mm. Its not as clear or close as I would like but he wouldn't stay still enough for me to grab the second camera with the 500mm on it. I hope to get a better photo soon.

Awesome capture of this coyote. Where I go in the desert the coyotes and rabbits have disappeared. :-(
