Taken at Phinda Private Game Reserve, a 170 km² private game reserve situated in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa between the Mkuze Game Reserve and the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park. I was in an open Toyota Land Cruiser about 50 meters from this beastie. These buffalo are the most dangerous among the Big Five, so it is wise to keep one's distance or wind up having egrets.
