Sometimes you have to improvise, and work with what you have. You don't always need tons of gear (though it sure helps!). I didn't have my tripod with me, and couldn't have used it anyway because it was crowded with people. I had to wait to get the shot. There was a railing I could put my camera down on for the long exposure, but I had limited room to move around and compose the shot. I find I enjoy 'seat of your pants' photography more than carrying 100 lbs. of gear with me. I got the shot, and I'm very happy with it. Converting to black & white lends drama to the scene.

Thank you! We are all at different stages of our learning, I'm always trying to improve my images too. I see images here that just blow me away and it makes me want to learn how to do that. This site is great for inspiring us to improve our skills. I love Viewbug!
