Wray Castle nestles in an arcadian landscape on the western bank of Lake Windermere, Cumbria. Not a real castle but a family house, it was built in 1840 in the Gothic Revival style, by retired Liverpool surgeon, Dr. James Dawson. Although built using money from an inheritance of the doctor's wife, she took one look at the finished folly and refused to live in it. This view was captured at the closing of a perfect day in July 2017.

Wow! I'm with Steph - this is one of my favourites of your most recent Lake District images. The reflection of the castle and the yellow hill is truly magical!
