I like your photos, this one captures the feeling that you describe, the fog. the red foliage that spells danger, the dark rocks all work very well. How we frame our images ( what we put in or keep out of the frame) says so much.

Poison ivy is a plant that has an oily coating on the leaves that cause painful and itchy rashes. It isn't deadly but it is extremely uncomfortable. It is pretty common in North America.

I love the way the red stands out from the green. They are opposite colors, so it enhances the juxtaposition even more. If I had to critique, I would say that you could have put the red ivy in the left third of the photo. You would still see the textures from the rocks, but more of the mysterious fog and background would show.
