Wat Mai Khao is on the Island of Phuket, close to the airport. This lake is full of huge catfish and apparently it brings good blessings to feed them. On a bike tour of the area our guide gave us little bags of popcorn to feed them! I never thought catfish would eat popcorn! The area around the lake is also a bird sanctuary so you can see lots of pretty native birds flying around. The main temple is a few hundred metres along the road in an area quite enclosed with trees. If you visit the temple, make sure you wander down the road so you can see this small temple on the lake too!
