Formerly a Baltic timber trader for 30 years, the Zebu was built in 1938 and was later re-rigged as a Victorian-style Brigantine ship. It has been based at the Albert Dock since 1988 and used extensively as a training vessel, clocking up more than 69,000 miles in her life at sea. Two days ago, without any warning, she sank at her mooring beside the Tate Gallery in the Albert Dock, Liverpool. The Merseyside Fire Brigade confirmed nobody was injured during the incident.
