During one of my recent Scotland photo adventures with my friend Stu, we had to get a ferry across to a different part of the mainland that isn't yet accessible by bridge. We had a little while to wait for the ferry so we jumped out of the car with our cameras and went to photograph the landscape. I foolishly only grabbed my wide lens and got all the way to the waterfront before I saw this lighthouse in the distance. I seem to have a habit of spotting unexpectedly photogenic things that I can only shoot with a long lens. I had to ask Stu for his car keys so I could run back and get my telephoto lens! I managed to switch lenses and run back to the photo spot just as the ferry was about to turn up. I quickly crouched on the ground next to the water and fired off a couple of shots before we dashed back to the car. I was lucky this one came out so well as it was a very hurried shot! Again, the moral of the story seems to be to ALWAYS take all your lenses as you never know what you might see!
