On any given day these two rocks stacks, known as 'Gog and Magog' would be viewed by thousands of people, and photographed tens of thousand times. And that’s what makes capturing a unique image even more challenging. Imagine my thoughts as this rain front quickly approached, and I realised I had put on the wrong filter. Oh well, I thought, fire one shot and then change it over to the filter I had planned to use. As I started reviewing the images this image popped out as one of my best shots.

How often does it happen that at first glance was seemingly an error turns around into positive experience. Perhaps this is the difference between a ‘glass half full’ and a ‘glass half empty’ person. Those in the ‘glass half full’ camp will try to put a positive spin on everything, much like this image. Taking the time to think manipulate the image to my advantage has led to the creating of what is perhaps one of my favourite images of ‘Gog and Magog’.
