On my last day in Pacific Grove in November, I shot the sunset at Asilomar Beach. This is the second of three images that I made after the sun went below the horizon but before the reflected light had faded from the clouds. The ocean was calmer than it had been for most of the day and the tide was out. The rocks and sand were exposed and were reflecting the pinks and oranges of the sky. I have not increased the saturation at all on this image so this is the sky as it was for those few brief minutes looking west- northwest out over the Monterey Bay and Pacific Ocean. What a brilliant end to an amazing 2.5 weeks.
