The Gargoyles of Notre Dame of Paris seem to be looking at and expecting for the tourists that are waiting for the reconstruction works to be finished, so they will be able to get into the renewed Cathedral. The gargoyles have been watching over Paris since Notre Dame was erected in 1163. The half-man, half beast, demon looking creatures carved out of stone adorn the gutters of the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris.
The damages on the roof and adjacent part of the Cathedral were caused by the fire ignited on 15 April 2019, part of them can be seen on the left top corner of the photo.
