HA! ... if you hadn't used the background image of the cascading water that obviously took a longer exposure (exif data shows 1/15 second ... could be appropriate for the "background image"), while the capture of the dragonfly with "still" wings would have taken something upwards of 1/1000 second, this might have been more believable ... quite obviously a composite of three images. ;-) ... but still a fun image!

This was done a few years back when I didn't master Photoshop as well as today! Your observations are correct, three images and I feel the edge refinement done at the time was poor!

Superb capture! But it looks like a composite image? Slow shutter speed for the flowing water and a high shutter speed for the trout. Excellent technique if so.
