This is the Rockwood Sunrise art piece at the Rockwood light rail station in Gresham, Oregon. I originally was under the impression these spikes were mimicking a mohawk but after researching I found the colors in the architecture coordinate with those from our local sunrise. I wanted to capture both the awesome color of the sun ray spikes and the motion of the light rail.
