I returned in the fifth day of shooting, in this oasis of serenity in the middle of Bucharest, and was a bit disappointed. The waterlilies have delayed their development with a few days, finding half of them in bloom, in comparison with 2014. Nevertheless, I adapted to the situation and proceeded to experiment what we call today low-key photography, and which I like the most, with dark contrasts and selective highlights. I have passed from the pure representation of the subject in its natural habitat to a fine-art representation. I am no longer interested in documenting in the field, only in my personal as styled as possible interpretation, but balanced, of the subject matter.

I first solved the problem of the exposure and the white balance in camera and proceeded to clicking the shutter. I was interested for them to come out as dark as possible, but so far that it suggests highlights on the subject only there, where I need it.
