One of my great joys as a photographer is bringing a .raw file to life in post-processing. In most cases it is a fairly simple process but now and again there is a more difficult image that requires a bit more work to complete. In this case I had a poorly exposed image that was my only opportunity to get what I had originally seen on site. This was taken in October looking down on Boulder Beach next to Otter Cliffs at Acadia National Park. It was a handheld shot and the light was less than prime but the colors were there for the eye and my camera (Nikon D810) is capable of capturing a broad spectrum of light data.
