Shot with a Kinoptik 9mm vintage 16mm movie camera lens mounted on a micro four thirds mirrorless camera. Being the distance of the rear element is from the sensor their is only one sharp focus point when shot wide open, that is the lens must touch the subject matter to reach optimum focus.

I like this approach, I get a similar result with a macro attachment without using quite enough zoom to hide the macro attachment, though not as good as yours.
