The Birch Lake rest area is located on the Richardson Highway, between Delta Junction and Fairbanks. This was shot in mid November. Any good calendar or first grader will tell you November is a month in Fall. I am here to tell you it sure seems like winter where I come from.... This lake will soon be dotted with ice fishing huts, as it is stocked with rainbow trout, king and silver salmon, grayling, and arctic char. The nearby recreation site features a public use cabin, boat launch, dock, and campsites.
