At this point, after a 3.30am start, one attempt after another was failing as I was slipping into hypothermia, despite my best ideas to avoid.
End of the day, my boots were too small, only 1 pair socks; & gloves that were not waterproof. Even 50,000 layers of thermals did not save me.
The thing that saved me was here, where the sun came out.
