The Newfield Bridge is a wooden covered bridge over Cayuga Creek. It is in Newfield in Tompkins County, New York. It is one of 29 covered bridges in New York State.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
The truss is a Town Lattice with Arch with a span of 115 feet. This bridge was built in 1853.
New York’s oldest covered Bridge still open to vehicle traffic, it is found in the center of the Town of Newfield. It underwent a complete repair by Milton Grafton in 1972 when a Laminated Arch was added to the original Town truss.
