Amazing! It makes me feel like I'm standing right there! I love how you included people/objects to help me visualize the height of those buildings. Kudos!!

Location
I took this photo on my way back home to new jersey at the east side crosswalk of 42nd street and 8th avenue in NYC around the Times Square area.Time
I remember that it was already dark and cold , because it was around the winter time , actually as I write this I went and got the metadata from LR for you guys and it says : 1/15/14 @ 6:51pm.Lighting
I have been taking pictures on the streets of New York for the last 10 years , and I can tell you that there's no better lighting you could get than the one provided by the neon lights around Times Square ; you just have to learn to correct it with the right white balance.Equipment
I shot this hand held { as I was crossing the street ) with my Fuji X-E1 and it's kit lens 18-55mm. I had been testing all day a great 100mm filter system from a really good filter company from Spain named LUCROIT , and since I had it on with a 1 or 2 stops ND grad filter , because I wanted to see if it may help me reduce the intensity of the Neon signs and lights. As I was crossing the street I saw this scene and could not resist but to take a shot at it.Inspiration
I have been taking this kind of pictures for a very long time in the NYC streets , and to be honest most of the time it comes as second nature , that is probably the main reason why I changed from DSLR's to a mirrorless system camera , so I could wander the streets all day with my camera and a couple of lenses without hurting my back.Editing
All of the PP was done in LR. First I corrected the white balance , increased the exposure and contrast , adjusted highlights and shadows and gave it a bit of clarity and vibrance. I shot this picture at F/4 and 1/30th sec. I used a relatively high ISO @ 640 and as mentioned previously I hand held it. Due to the high ISO used I utilized a more noise reduction than usual. Finally I corrected the verticals and gave it a little vignette to direct the view to the center of the frame. In my camera bag
I used to carry a lot of gear with me when I shoot with DSLR's , but lately I'm only carrying a small bag with my camera Fuji X-E1 , the Fujinon 18-55 mm kit lens , a Bower 8mm Fish eye lens and a few filters. I also carry a small Mefoto tripod but I don't use it as much anymore.Feedback
The only advice I like to give is that you should shoot what you like , and not what others before you have done. When I started photography that was very hard for me to understand , because I live in the NJ/NYC area and I was influenced by a lot of great photographers that pretty much had already captured everything worth shooting in NYC in terms of Architectural and street photography , which is what I mostly shoot. So my advice is to just go out and shoot whatever you like , and eventually you will find your way and your own style in photography. Even if is just for the fun of it , as it is in my case. Thanks Viewbug for the opportunity and thanks to the Viewbug community for their support of my work. Olevar.
