The prospect of being a parent has evoked such an incredible response within my heart and soul. The thoughts and conversations I've had with my wife, Felicia as we await our daughter have set my imagination and wonder soaring off in so many directions. Every day Felicia and I touch her belly and feel the little kicks and nudges our baby is causing. There are moments I'll just rub her belly, and suddenly, as if reacting to me, our daughter will thump and push against my hand like she's trying to reach out. It's so truly amazing. There are other moments when she is pushing in a spot, or even two simultaneously, and then she holds it... like she's practicing Tai Chi in there! It's enthralling.

Well, many people have been commenting and joking with me about how I have no excuse to not take pictures since I'm a photographer. They've made me promise to share some photos so they, too, can see this experience from our perspective. So.... Here's a photo I shot a few days ago.. My hand and Felicia's hand together on her belly. To me, it speaks of love, anticipation, and fortitude. We can't wait to welcome our baby into the world.
