I finally did it. I foresaw an epic sunset that was potentially going to happen and instead of beating myself up every 30 seconds looking out the kitchen window at the opportunity lost, I listened to the impulse to run to it. I turned off the stove, leaving half cooked dinner for the family in the pan awaiting my return. Without a solid plan and in flip flops and a t-shirt I trudged through a soggy field full of unmentionables that were just waking up from the winter slumber to get a shot of a spectacular scene that involved two leafless trees, a weeping rain cloud bitten by the falling sun and a sky full of color. It looked to me as if the trees were on fire.
