Note that that this is a Moorish construct, built by devout Muslims. Note the "Star of David" on the door. That is religious iconography which is seen frequently throughout the fortress, on tile and in carvings, and is clearly not just limited to the religious tradition, Judaism, with which it is most often associated. The interchange of icons throughout world religions is fascinating, but not something I have real knowledge of. Really just an observation.

I'm not usually one to correct. I like your observation, but, the Star of David has six points. The stars in this image each have eight. Shalom. (heart emoji)
