New York City, New York. I'm probably more proud of this shot than any other because I remember seeing him, strangely isolated on a busy street with a huge vertical swath of red behind him. I actually remember a distinct forlorn feeling and then the rush to take the shot. I think it turned out well even though there are reflections in the glass I was shooting through in the frame. Actually I like that and would bring that out if I knew how.

Love this image. It tells an amazing story without have to use any words. I love the fact you have that graining it adds so much to the overall image.

I love images that capture people in thought and tell a story. This one has it all. Congratulations on your award winning image and capture.

This capture embodies the theme. You can see the thought, reflection and brief moment the man is taking to untangle from the noise and chaos. Very moving image. Congratulations on your award!

Great street capture! Congrats on your win in the candidstreetphotography challenge. Your description with the image convinced me to make this choice. I made a series of 'from the backseat' street photo's myself, and love the reflections of the windows too. In some of my images, it helped to play a bit with the dehaze slider (lower it) in lightroom, to make them come out more. You may want to give it a try, if you use LR. Again: CONGRATS on your street-photographers eye! We are a minority here on Viewbug ...

Hi, That is a very thoughtful comment. When I took this shot I was more or less a novice who liked to take pictures. Five years ago I joined VB, got Lightroom and started paying attention to what I was doing. today, I’m fairly proficient with LR and do use dehaze when appropriate. The next step wold be to take some photography courses but unfortunately my professional and family life coupled with the Pandemic have put those on hold for the time being. Thank you so much for your thoughtful words. One thing for sure, Street photography and portraits are my favourite genre’S. Cheers, Will
