A pair of Mute Swans, swimming in an open section of spring lake ice. As I watched them, they appeared to be reconnecting or courting. They would offer each other water plants, pulled from under the water and ice, dip their heads together, make little noises to each other. It was sweet and I felt honored to watch them.
