I took this photo of the photo in the museum in Wellsford New Zealand, unfortunately there is no name on the image so I cannot give credit to the photographer. This was taken in mid 1860, probably 1865, when the Albertlanders were trying to establish a colony north west of Auckland. It is a fantastic photograph, and I suspect that it was not set up and is a natural picture, which is very unusual for those days, where most photographs were posed. All in all I must say that the photographer of the day really created an image for the ages.
