My last day of my October 2019 trip to Alaska before I had to fly home was spent driving from Anchorage back to Fairbanks where I would catch my flight, but of course I had to make a few stops along the way, like here at Eagle River Nature Center in the Chugach Mountains. There were a number of trails including some shorter ones you could walk in the span of half an hour. October in and around Anchorage means vibrant autumn colors and fallen leaves which more often and not are riddled with holes and tears, which make for some very interesting photographs.
