The graveyard at the old Wyoming State Penitentiary (“Frontier Prison”). It was in use from 1901 to 1981. The bottom right tombstone belongs to Geow Lee. Lee was sentenced to death for the murder of two people. He went to the gallows on March 11th, 1921. The execution was botched. Weighing 112 pounds, the rope didn’t snap his neck. Instead, he strangled to death 13 minutes later. The penitentiary is said to be haunted, and was featured on the show Ghost Adventures. It was also used as the set for the 1987 movie Prison, starring Viggo Mortensen.
