The photographer waited for just the right moment with the sun, and the plane at just the right spot, is absolutely awesome. The black and white processing has really enhanced this image, with beautiful structure and clarity throughout, and the toning in the gradation of the sky is perfect. "Church interiors are relatively low hanging fruit, but the photographer here has searched for an found an beautiful new angle to take this photograph to the next level. The reflection in the 'font' is perfectly aligned to reflect the detail and window at the far end of the cathedral, and the outer edge of the font wraps its hands around your eyes and leads you smoothly into the photograph. "I love the atmosphere in this photograph. The distant rays from the sun are a beautiful feature, and that deep shadow just right of center creates a perfect tension between the foreground sand ripples and the distant dunes, lit almost biblically the prize of the photograph. The addition of the marks left by the falling rain are an added bonus. Very beautiful work." - Martin Bailey

"A very powerful photograph. Timeless, yet somewhat futuristic. The black and white toning is excellent, and the addition of the few people on the left escalator stop it from being too clinical. My only critique point for this photograph is that I’d have loved to see the top of the circle at the base of the escalators completed at the top of the frame. That would have been the icing on the cake for this image. Still, it’s a beautiful photograph all the same." - Martin Bailey
