1. Tell us a bit about yourself, how do you describe your photography style?
Iā€™m a photographer living in Sardinia, Italy. The most part of my photographs are panoramic landscapes from the south of Sardinia.
My passion about photography in the natural world, exploring the wilderness throughout south Sardinia, hiking in the wilderness, in search of breathtaking scenery. Iā€™m specialize in landscapes, panoramics and the night photography.

2. In one sentence what has photography done for you in your life?
It has changed considerably, especially since I won the Sony world photography awards 2014 in panoramic category. New life, new difficulties in this way, new satisfactions.

3. When did you start taking photos and what inspired you to get started?
I always liked photography, I used as a teenager a film camera, then in 2000 the first 2mp digital compact, and in 2010 I started with a dslr. What did inspire me? Nature, wildlife, landscape, every scenic we have around us.

4. Do you have any influencers?
For night photography I like David Kingham, Michael Shainblum, Lincoln Harrison.

5. What has been your favorite shoot and why?
Starry Lighthouse, because with this shot I won the Sony world photography awards 2014 in panoramic category, the Panobook 2014.

6. Do you remember a difficult photo shoot session? What happened?

Yes, when I went in Cala Luna, moon bay, in Sardinia, with a friend, we stayed there some hours and Ii took this shot. On the way back we could no longer find the path for the ascent of the mountain, it was night and it was hard to recognize the landmarks seen in the way outward but thank to smartphone gps we found the entrance to the path of ascent and it was so hard, and the effort so much.

7. what do you carry in your camera bag?

My Sony a7 with samyang 14 2.8 for nightshots and my tamron 17-35 for landscape shots, with nd and gnd filters, and always my selfmade panoramic head for panoramic shots.

8. Do you have a favorite subject to shoot?

The milky way obviously, and rocks.

9. Do you have a favorite location and time of the day to shoot?

Yes a place in the mountains at 40km from my home, and favourite time the night.

10. What are you currently working on?

A project of night landscapes.

11. Can you share a couple of tips with your fellow photographers?

About nightscapes photography:

1. shoot in raw, RAW your images will retain the most information, this allows you to work better with the shot changes as the white balance and the exposure.

2. Use a good tripod, long exposure from 1 to 30" needs a tripod, avoid the cheapest ones.

3. Use a Wide angle lenses have a larger field of view and a large aperture, apertures of f/2.8 or greater (f/1.4) are favourites.
