Behind The Lens

Location

This was at my home in Trinidad. I live in the suburbs surrounded by mountains covered in a large variety of vegetation. Because of this there is a large array of birds and other wildlife! These are "Common Ground Doves" which frequent the countryside. These two were perched on my bannister watching the world go by!

Time

This was late morning/midday so the sun was fully up!

Lighting

Full sunlight! No special lighting or anything else!

Equipment

Canon Powershot SX40 HS, handheld! I chose this camera as it has a nice long zoom which is great for birds and wildlife!

Inspiration

I very much enjoy taking photos of birds and other wildlife as I believe that they all have wonderful personalities... study them and you will see! The Common Ground Doves rest often so it is easy to take photos of them!

Editing

Cropping, and minor adjustments with light, colour and sharpening

My camera with battery, spare battery, battery charger, lens hood... my tripod...
