Behind The Lens

Location

I have taken this shot in Glencoe- Scotland, sometimes beginning of September.

Time

It was dusk, and I remember glancing out the hotel room’s window. Without moving from the spot, almost shouting, I asked my fiancé to pass me the camera. He didn’t know what was going on, but quickly complied.

Lighting

I just felt I need to still this shot, and show people the beauty of nature at any time of the day.

Equipment

This picture was taken, or maybe say “stollen” with a NIKON D3500, Aperture f/5.6, Exposure 1/125, Focal length: 1/24, IOS 800.

Inspiration

With me it’s simple as I’m quite new to the amateur photography, I love colours of nature. And that particular Eve, it just looked beautifully scenic, how the hills, and the lake are swallowed by the darkness, meanwhile you could see the playful, warm colours protruding between the clouds.

Editing

Indeed this photography needed some retouching: luminosity and contrasts weren’t doing justice to the real image.

In my camera bag

As a true beginner, I have my Nikon D3500DSLR + 18-55mm lenses. Currently I’m trying to get use to what it can do until I decide to upgrade.

Feedback

Keep your eyes and mind open, look for things that inspire you. Scotland is a beautiful spot for great shots, sometimes if you’re lucky you could get a glimpse of the northern lights, obviously not as evident as in Iceland. And of course, don’t forget to keep your camera within reach.
