This photo was taken in my back yard where there are many flowers for me to practice getting pictures.Time
This picture was taken around 1:30 in the afternoon on July 30, 2020. I had been out taking pictures of butterflies and bumble bees as they lit on flowers. I got a new lens for my new Sony and was trying to test on things close up. I love this picture and the detail in the middle of the flower.Lighting
It was a really bright summer day so I really didn't have to much with the lighting. Even the harshness the sun brings sometimes wasn't there.Equipment
I used a Sony 7RM2 and a camera grip to help with stabilization.Inspiration
All of my pictures are inspired by wanting to show people the beauty that surrounds us as we go about our daily lives, without having to travel really anywhere. This picture was taken in my back yard where there is plenty of opportunity for these kinds of pictures without leaving home. I try to bring a different perspective and showcase the beauty in things we don't always see. When I take pictures of flowers, birds and bees etc. I like to take them close so people see how pretty they are.Editing
I really didn't have to do much in post-processing. I did crop it for composition and got rid of some specks that showed up on the picture. In my camera bag
This picture was taken with the Sony 7rm2 and 24-85mm lens, which is in my bag always. My go to lens is the 24mm gm which is on the camera most of the time. I also have the 50mm kit lens, filters, camera grip, tripod and flash. I carry my Nikon Coolpix 900 for emergency zooms. I have just ordered some macro extensions for the Sony so am looking forward to what they bring to the macro world of photography.Feedback
With the digital cameras today we are able to take many pictures until we get the right one. They are easy to delete so I would say to practice, practice, practice until you come up with the shot you like. Keep trying different perspectives, light, ISO, aperture, etc. to come up with the end result.
