Location
This picture was taken on Highway 60, just outside of Renfrew, Ontario. As a photographer I try to show the beauty in my surroundings using all seasons and this shed happens to be on my way to work.Time
I was on my way to work at about 8 a.m. on a sunny December day. I had to get out of the car so that I could catch a glimpse of the sun shining through the roof of the shed. Picture taken December 11, 2017 at 8 a.m.Lighting
The sun coming up provides awesome lighting. The missing roof metal making holes in between the trusses made for a great photograph of the rays shining down the way they do.Equipment
I used a Panasonic Lumix DC-FZ80 camera with a 60X zoom.Inspiration
Trying to show people the beauty that is provided for us as we look around where we are is what inspired me to take this picture. This old building is abandoned and falling down but the photograph shows the beauty the sun adds. The snow helps here as well to bounce the sun rays off creating more beauty to the picture.Editing
I did a little in Photoshop Elements. I just brightened it a bit. I didn't have to do much.In my camera bag
I usually carry my Panasonic Lumix DC-Z80 so I don't have to carry a pile of lenses. I have a tripod, a sphere, a hand held tripod, 4 extra batteries, a hood for my camera, and filters.Feedback
I would suggest to take many pictures, and take many of the same thing in different climates, different times of the day and from different angles. Carry your camera with you, be ready and be patient. Don't be afraid to see what your camera can do and try different settings.
