This was a great morning in the PNW for mid February. I got up around 4:30 am because it was a 45 minute drive and I wanted to make sure I was on the beach for first light. I took probably 70 to 80 photos that morning and this was shot in the final 10 minutes.Lighting
I loved the monochromatic aspects of this shot it really boils down to orange and black.Equipment
Shot on a Canon SL2 with a Canon 75-300mm lens.Inspiration
Enjoying and embracing living in the Pacific Northwest on Vancouver Island. It's a wonderful place to live and it should be shared.Editing
Not much post was done this is almost as as shot image, I think I used and orange only filter on it so it is definitely more just black and orange. In my camera bag
I always have my lens ball and my wide angle adapter for my smaller 18 - 55mm lens. I use a cotton carrier for my camera as I wasn't much a fan of the strap around my neck and I wanted something that was quick and convenient.Feedback
Get outside and play with your camera, embrace using manual mode and try different settings.
