Location
These are the ruins of the great Temple of Soleb in Northern Sudan. A significant archaeological site dating back almost 5000 years. The land of the Kushite or land of the black pharaohs.Time
We boarded a small dinghy and crossed the river Nile mid morning. The light was ideal and what a sight it was. If you stand in the middle of these massive remnants from the past you wonder how they stacked the elements on top of each other thousands of years ago.Lighting
To be honest there is nothing special to share about the lighting as the image is self-explanatory. The impact is instantaneous and overwhelming.Equipment
Camera used Canon 5D MK II and lens Canon 17-40mmInspiration
If you are confronted with history which dates back almost five millenia and there are colums still rising into the sky you cannot resist but to capture a perspective which has maximum impact on the viewer. I do believe I captured a very impressive and unique aspect, which will remain in my memory for the rest of my days.Editing

Take as many captures as possible from different angles. One shot is never enough.
