Location
The photo was taken before quarantine, in Greenville South Carolina, around Falls Park on the Reedy Riverfront.Time
It was February and still pretty chilly. time was around 4pm and the sun was starting to set.Lighting
We just used the environment to bounce the ambient light. the area we were at had a white wall and a white floor so the natural yellow light from the sun got evenly distributed on the model.Equipment
I had a Canon T7i with a Sigma 85mm art lens attached.Inspiration
I was actually just testing the Sigma 85mm lens and just pushing its limits. Since the Canon T7i has a crop sensor I was technically shooting with a 135mm lens.Editing
I usually don't do too much post-processing especially if I'm testing lens and cameras. I just lighten up the shadows a bit and bring its vibrancy up a bit.In my camera bag
I always keep the nifty fifty around just because its a amazing lens for a cheap price. (that's the Canon 50mm f1.8)Feedback
One good advice to capture a photo like this is to definitely follow/read up on fashion and models. Doing that can really help you notice what models poses are the go-to poses for a specific style. For newer photographers. looking into a cheap 85mm to 135mm lens, these focal lengths are ideal portrait lens that will really enhance your portraits.
