Location
The picture was taken in Thun, Reutigen (Switzerland, Canton Bern). Thun is a city in the canton of Bern. Thun is the gateway to the Berner Oberland (large and well-known mountain regions such as Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau)Time
May 19, 2019 was a rainy day. Luckily, after waiting in the car at 1:00 pm, I got into a dry spell and took the chance.Lighting
The image was taken with an ND8 filter, which allowed me to increase the exposure time.Equipment
The photo was taken with the DJI Mavic Pro Platinum only one ND8 (filter set PolarPro) attached to the lens.Inspiration
Landscape photography has been my hobby for several years. At the beginning of my hobby I thought a lot about the birds view. With the advancement of drone technology, a dream came true for me. Since I am in possession of my DJI Mavic, there is no longer a legal limit for me and the Mavic became a faithful companion as soon as I left the house. To the photo: the area is rather confusing and difficult to access, as it is a gorge. I flew the drone 2 times over the whole battery power until I found 1-2 interesting sections.Editing
I only shoot in RAW format. Therefore, the file via Lightroom post-processed (saturation, sharpen, etc.). The watermark has been added to the shop occasionally. No filters or presets used.In my camera bag
In my photo bag is currently my DJI Mavic Pro Platinum with a filter set (PolarPro) and 2 batteries. Next a Nikon D5000 with the lens, depending on the project: Sigma 10-20mm, Nikon 18-55mm, Nikon 55-200mm, 70-300mm. In addition several filters of UV-ND filters and various graduated filters. Release and tripod are of course always there.Feedback
I always think about my motive first. Second, I clear the flight room (with the drone) and the flight bans, thus the card. in the case of a ban on flights, a permit will be issued at the next flight control (airport). before departure, the environment is also inspected (power lines or other antennas). The first flight is usually a reconnaissance flight in which I look at the area. During the second flight, the idea is then tried to implement. Preparation is the best for all motives. With the idea in mind on the search for the right place and there is no stopping until I am satisfied. Even if it does not work the first time or man has to leave very early and is late on the way. The idea drives me and moves forward.
