Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my studio. It was a rainy day so I decided to work inside. I was arranging different items trying to come up with something to shoot. I came up with the arrangement in the photo. I love the white against the black.

Time

This was taken late afternoon in my studio. I used the natural light that was streaming in through the picture window.

Lighting

I wanted to use the natural light as it was raining so no glaring sun just a stream of grayish light that actually worked perfectly.

Equipment

All I remember was a Nikon. I had borrowed it from a friend as my camera was being repaired.

Inspiration

I was bored, it was raining, & I wanted to test my friends camera to see if perhaps it would be a future purchase for me.

Editing

All I did was raise the contrast a bit. That's really it.

In my camera bag

Canon T7 with a telephoto, macro, & the standard lens.

Feedback

The right lighting is key. Many people think you need a sunny day to get great shots. Not true! This was taken on a dreary day with natural light.
