Location
This photo was taken in Cinncinati , Ohio at Edin Park. Being new to photography at the time I felt really lucky to have had the opportunity to get such a beautiful photo.Time
This photo was taken in the early afternoon. Not my favorite time of day to shoot but sometimes we have to take the opportunity when it is given to us.Lighting
This photo taken with natural lighting.Equipment
In I this particular photo I used my Canon Rebel EOS 100 with my 75-300 lens. I hand held the camera as I do in most of my shooting with the exception of long exposure shooting. I did not use a flash.Inspiration
I am inspired by the amazing beauty of a butterfly. Their amazing ability to go through change and become something so beautiful is so amazing to me and I think that we as humans have the same ability if we just look to the beautiful butterflies for inspiration.Editing
I did very little post - processing editing. In my camera bag
I am always evolving as a photographer. Since I just started last year I have bought three cameras. A Nikon 3400, A Canon 77 D and I have my trusty Canon Rebel . I have several lenses and I may carry one or all with me to a shooting opportunity. I have spare batteries , a valometer , filters , I have a tripod , cleaning equipment . I carry a snack and water .Feedback
Following and capturing butterflies can be both challenging and rewarding. It does take patience. So many times just about the time you go to shoot they flutter off . I stand at a good distance away. As far as I can but close enough that my shot will still be clear. Above all is patience as I always say . Stay calm , keep your distance and you will capture some amazing shots as I have learned.
