Behind The Lens

Location

This sunflower photo was taken at a roadside vegetable/fruit stand in Geauga County. The property is owned by a prominent family who has farmed this particular plot of land for over two centuries and now serves as a co-op.

Time

The sky was a brilliant blue and the face of the sunflower was tilting toward the south, which would mean that this photo was taken between 12:00 and 2:00pm.

Lighting

This sunflower was so full of life and seemed to reflect all of the yellows and orange, making it pop against the crystal, clear blue sky!

Equipment

My cell phone was all that I had available, which is my camera of choice.

Inspiration

I was inspired by the rich colors. The colors could not have been anymore brilliant.

Editing

As far as post-processing goes, the photo of the sunflower against the sky spoke for itself and did not call for any editing.

In my camera bag

I actually carry my cell phone in my back jeans pocket.

Feedback
