Behind The Lens

Location

Birmingham Alabama zoo

Time

Noon

Lighting

Natural light is always the best

Equipment

Nikon D3000

Inspiration

I was trying to get a photo of one single zebra and this one stood off by itself like it was posing for me for about 15 minutes.

Editing

Turned to Black and White and created a solid black background.

In my camera bag

Nikon D3000, Nikon D3200, 18-55mm lens, 55-200 lens, macro lens kit, spare batteries and SD cards.

Feedback

Be patient when trying to shoot wildlife photos. Sometimes, you just have to wait it out to get that perfect shot. Animals will be nervous at first but if you just stay calm and be patient, they will come around and act natural.
