Location
This shot was taken outdoors at Mount Gilead State Park in Ohio. Just getting started taking portrait sessions, I have done all of my shoots outdoors, in the natural light.Time
This photo was taken in the afternoon as the sun was setting.Lighting
I used the natural lighting to evenly light the girls' faces by facing them towards the sun.Equipment
This shot was taken on a Canon Rebel T5 using an 18-55mm lense. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
Twins have a special connection, and I wanted to show how the two girls still share this special bond that makes them one. This is shown by a closeup that splits the two girls' faces to create the illusion of one face.Editing
During post processing I turned the picture monochromatic and enhanced the contrast by adding some darker tones throughout the image to dramaticize the lighting. In my camera bag
Usually, I only carry three things with me in my bag; my camera, an 18-55mm lense, and a 75-300mm lense.Feedback
This photograph was made possible by careful timing and placement with the natural lighting, and thoughtful composition.
